A family from Anapa has reported the death of their 17-year-old relative, Alexander Komin, allegedly caused by inhaling fuel oil fumes. This information was shared by the 93.RU portal on January 15.
17-year-old Alexander Komin passed away on January 14. His relatives believe he was poisoned by fuel oil fumes while cleaning beaches in Krasnodar Krai. Komin was a student at Anapa Industrial College, where both teachers and students are actively involved in cleanup efforts.
However, the college stated that underage students are prohibited from participating in such work. They emphasized that all students receive training and are provided with protective equipment before engaging in any tasks.
The Kub Mash Telegram channel discovered that Komin suffered from chronic asthma and was allegedly cleaning fuel oil from a riverbank on the day of his death. The regional operational headquarters has promised to conduct an investigation to determine the cause of the student’s death. Authorities stated that Alexander Komin was not an officially registered volunteer.
Two tankers sank in the Kerch Strait on December 15 during a storm, spilling approximately 2,500 tons of oil into the Black Sea, according to reports.
